Rest Easily with Soft & Comfortable Wool

Highest Quality Wool
What Wool Does for You
Fine Merino is soft even for the most sensitive babies.
Why
We use Merino wool, which is a long, strong fiber---the highest quality wool. Merino is softer and silkier than other sheep’s wool because the fibers are finer, which leaves Merino comfortable next to the skin. The softness of wool is measured by the diameter of the fibers.

The Merino we use for our puddle pads is fine to super fine at 17-19 microns (micrometers) in diameter. The feel of a fabric, the handle, is even softer when fibers are teased up the fluffy, open structure of fleece as our puddle pads are.
Tightly Woven & Lofty
What Wool Does for You
Wool is tough enough to take any care you give it.
Why
To better allow for temperature regulation insulation, the wool we use for our puddle pads starts out thick. Then, we make it thicker or fuller through a process called fulling. Fulling a knit or woven fabric is similar to felting non-woven fibers. Shocking the fibers from hot to cold opens up the scales. When the fibers shrink back, the scales interlock, creating an even stronger fabric that works very well for a blanket or changing mat.

This whole process makes the wool staynd up to hot washing and drying. Because we’ve already shrunk the fabric for you, it won't shrink. Your puddle pads need no handwashing or special care.
