How does a new parent learn to diaper a new baby? A book? A website? There was a time when such information was passed from person to person. Some lucky parents still have those connections with experienced others. The rest of us can make these connections with some effort. Firefly Diapers is committed to helping parents connect and communicate with like-minded parents.

We strive to be responsible consumers and producers. What we learn in the process, we share with others. In particular, we work to improve fiber choices—not just for ourselves and our customers but for whole fiber industries. We work to increase awareness of and influence practices of production, including fair trade, fair wages, and a great degree of self-determination for workers. We reuse and recycle whatever we can, including using 100% post-consumer recycled paper to print invoices and care information and packing boxes and paper made of recycled fibers. We believe that understanding where things come from before use and where things go after use helps parents to choose cloth diapers.

The habit of making conscious choices about and finding balance in production, use, and disposal leads to greater sustainability. We have found that lessons of sustainability learned in one area of our lives moves along into other areas. We like that flow. We strive to find abundance in balance.
