Hello to all of you.
Where did the summer go? I have very little memory of those melting hot days, but it has cooled down and my mind seems to be functioning well again. So, naturally, I begin to think about diapers.

Organic Diaper Blog
As if life weren’t already busy enough, I gave in to friendly pressure to start a Firefly Diapers blog on organics, fibers, sustainability, and other terribly exciting issues. I think it is actually turning out well. This has given my a place to write about those topics that come up on a daily basis but don’t always deserve their own article or Frequently Asked Question. In the past couple of weeks I’ve written about current hemp legislation, fair trade in the organic industry, and the science of washing with vinegar. There is also a poll for you to vote on—currently about preferred style of diaper for a newborn.

Quick Dry Cushy Diapers in Organic Sherpa
We still have diapers with the cushy organic cotton sherpa inside and bright colors outside. I wrote about organic sherpa this week on my blog, comparing it to the burley knit terry it is made from. There are super-close-up images of both fabrics on our diaper specials page.

Quick Dry Color Clown, Yes Clown, Diapers
Clown diapers? The diapers with different colors in every one of their six parts. I don’t have as many of these colorful organic cotton diapers as usual in stock yet, so I am only telling you on our announcement list for now. We are expecting more in 2-3 weeks.

Happy Anniversary, Real Diaper Association
Last week was the first anniversary of Real Diaper Association. In only a year, RDA has incorporated, become a tax exempt organization, offered many educational materials, and begun the work of supporting local volunteers around the U.S. I happen to know that Real Diaper Association could use volunteers, especially those with experience producing print publications, either in design or editing. Contact Heather Sanders for details. Even if you don’t have time to volunteer, join RDA as a member to support cloth diapering advocacy.
